EasyCheck® Pregnancy tests

Pregnancy testing kits (urine) are one step diagnostic tests for the qualitative detection of human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG) in urine, as an aid for the early detection of pregnancy. They are in vitro diagnostic tests.

  • What is hCG (human chorionic gonadotropin)?
hCG is a glycoprotein hormone secreted by the placenta shortly after fertilization; it acts to support progesterone, a hormone necessary to maintain pregnancy. Healthy men and healthy women do not have detectable levels of hCG by a urine pregnancy test. Healthy pregnant women have hCG in their urine and serum specimens. The amount of hCG present in the human body varies greatly with gestational age and between individuals.
  • At what level is hCG detectable by Pregnancy Tests?
In normal pregnancy when a healthy female falls pregnant, the pregnancy hormone can be detected in the urine from about 13 to 16 days after fertilisation. The hCG level increases rapidly, doubling every 1-2 days and peaking at approximately 10-12 weeks. By the date of the average missed period, levels of hCG will frequently be above 100mIU/mL and should show a positive result on a home test or a doctors test; at 10-12 weeks into pregnancy levels peak in the 100,000-200,000 mIU/mL range.
  • How early can you test?
There are a couple factors to consider when deciding when you can start testing to get an accurate result from pregnancy test kits, please refer to our infographic for some of these. It is important to note that all manufacturers and suppliers will recommend testing on the day after a missed period for an over 99% accurate result.

EasyCheck® is an easy to use hCG test delivering fast and accurate results to clinical standards. EasyCheck pregnancy tests are available in both midstream hCG (home use) and cassette formats (professional use).

EasyCheck Ovulation tests

With EasyCheck Ovulation tests, you can pinpoint the best days to conceive in any given cycle. Take the guesswork out and maximise your chance of getting pregnant.

Over the counter ovulation tests are one step diagnostic tests for the qualitative detection of luteinizing hormone (LH) in urine, as an aid to predict time of ovulation. They are in vitro diagnostic tests.

  • How do they work?
Luteinizing hormone (LH) in elevated quantities causes ovulation (the release of the egg from the ovary). Throughout the menstrual cycle, a small amount of LH is produced, but during the middle of the cycle LH briefly and dramatically increases. This is called the “LH Surge” and precedes ovulation. Conception is most likely to occur within 24-48 hours following the LH Surge. This is the most fertile time of a female’s cycle.
A positive result with EasyCheck® Ovulation Test tells you that you are about to ovulate (release an egg). If you have intercourse within the next 24-48 hours you will maximise your chance of becoming pregnant.

SwimCount™

SwimCount is the first home test, which allows you to get a reliable answer on your chance of conceiving by measuring sperm cells' ability to swim – a key factor in achieving pregnancy.

It can be inconvenient and embarrassing to visit a hospital or fertility clinic to get tested so many men choose in-home sperm tests. However, until now, all that’s been available are tests that measure sperm count only, not sperm quality. Thanks to patented technology, SwimCount’s test kit lets you measure sperm quality within 30 minutes – all in the privacy of your own home.

Caya® contoured diaphragm

The Caya® diaphragm is a new, safe contraceptive. It was developed together with users in an intensive research process in the USA. Caya® is inserted into the vagina, just like a tampon. Then it is placed directly in front of the cervix to prevent sperm cells from entering. The ease of use and safety has been studied in extensive testing.

Caya® Diaphragm Gel

Caya®Gel is a contraceptive gel for use with the diaphragm and cervical cap contraceptive methods. Caya®Gel increases the safety of these contraceptive methods. Their use without a contraceptive gel has been proved to be less safe.

Applicator for ovules pessaries /
rectal suppositories

For the insertion of vaginal ovules, capsules, pessaries or rectal suppositories up to 14mm in width. Ideal for Premeno® duo.

Important information for using pessaries
Do not use pessary applicators during pregnancy. There is a risk of injury if handled incorrectly, as the area around the cervix is very sensitive in pregnant women. Instead, pessary treatment should preferably be performed without insertion aids. In general, the following applies: Ask your doctor before using pessaries during pregnancy.

Do not administer treatment during menstruation. So that you do not have to interrupt your treatment, it should be completed before periods start. Talk to your doctor if you are shortly due to have a period at the start of treatment.
